Drum Thickener

From the integral mixer the SludgeMaster Drum Thickener receives treated sludge onto the internal surface of a wedgwire drum. The rotating action of the drum causes the free water to pass through the wedgewire whilst trapping the solids on the surface of the drum. Continuous rotation forces the solids to the discharge end causing further dewatering of the sludge. The thickened sludge is discharged to a hopper from where it is pumped away.
SLUDGEMASTER ROTARY DRUM THICKENER

The primary function is to thicken sludge from 0.3%  feed  up to 8% dry solids, thereby reducing sludge volumes for disposal or further treatment.

The SludgeMaster offers a simple self contained fully automatic method of sludge thickening.

Throughputs range from 6m3/hr up to 130m3/hr.

APPLICATIONS

A wide range of dillute sludges or slurries are encountered in many industrial and municipal processes. The Ashbrook Simon-Hartley Sludge Master Drum Thickener is used to thicken biological and inorganic sludges prior to a down stream process such as sludge digestion, further dewatering or before tankering for subsequent disposal or recycling. Applications include:

  • Sewage sludge
  • Water treatment
  • Chemical
  • Food
  • Paper
