Zone Approach dewatering: There are 5 key zones that allows the Klampress to optimize the dewatering process through this Engineered approach to dewatering.

1. Conditioning Zone: Optimized dewatering begins with the proper conditioning of the slurry. Each Klampress is equipped with a proprietary variable orifice in-line polymer mixer that combines polymer and slurry instantly to facilitate rapid flocculation. This design allows the Klampress to use the lowest dosage of polymer and achieve the highest cake solids over all other competitors
2. Gravity Dewatering Zone: This zone quickly removes excess liquids and thickens the incoming slurry  to improve its dewatering properties. Rapid drainage is encouraged with the use of proprietary design chicanes.
3. Wedge Dewatering Zone: The Klampress fully adjustable wedge dewatering zone uses the natural effects of gradually increasing pressure to reduce the volumes of of the suspension in th preparation for pressing.
4. Radial Dewatering Zone: This zone introduces the slurry to direct radial pressure as well as the effects of shear forces. The radial grid in this zone aids and accelerates the flow of filtrate away from the pressure area.
5. Full Pressure Dewatering Zone: The full pressure dewatering is accomplished with gradually increasing pressure levels to achieve maximum dewatering without embedding the slurry into the belts.
