FIELD ERECTED
WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANTS

  • Bolted Circular Steel Plants for Flows of 150,000 GPD to 2.0 MGD

  • Flat Panel Tank Construction Utilizes “Standardized” Overlapping Flat Tank Panels to Provide Extensive Advantages Over Welded Tank Construction

  • Patented Technology to Produce Hydrostatic Bulkheads on Internal Walls

Ashbrook provides a comprehensive set of calculations and plans for both the foundation and tank.  Each tank is custom engineered based on process volumes.  Finite analysis is used to ensure stable design based on hydrostatic, seismic and wind loads.  Stiffener and bracing systems are optimized.    Detailed structural and foundation designs are P.E. stamped.

FACTORY APPLIED THERMOSET EPOXY COATING

There is automated steel preparation and coating application in a controlled environment.  There is no flash rusting, no over spray and a consistent coating applied.  There are Blast Profile, Coating Thickness, and Holiday Leak testing quality assurance measurements.  There is a thermally fused primer and top coat to ensure monolithic finish.  Additional tests, Salt Spray – 2000+ Hours (ASTM-B117) to determine Excellent Corrosion Resistance, and the QUV Test ~ 1000 Hours (ASTM-44585/G53 to ensure the Surface Will Not Fade or Chalk.  There are no on-site chemicals (Solvents) used.

TANK FOUNDATION

The foundation is prepared and rebar is installed based on Ashbrook provided foundation plans.  Embedded items are delivered to the job site first.  Ashbrook provides a working supervisor to assist with embedded item placement, sign-off on placement and witness the pour.

FETP ERECTION

Synchronized jacks are used to erect the tank from the ground up.  Workers stay on the ground, minimizing elevated work making the tank construction safer than that of a welded steel tank.  This system eliminates expensive cranes and improves our ability to work in a confined space.  This type erection method produces a total erection time much less than that of a welded steel tank.
